Sunday May 7, Allentown, PA: In-Person Lecture at 2 PM

Title: THE QUEST TO EXPERIENCE GOD

By Giulia Nesi Tetreau, CSB
Sun, May 7, 2023 at 2:00 PM ET
Location: Cedar Crest College, 1 Oberkotter Hall, Allentown, PA

These days, life can feel like it has been turned upside-down. What was relied upon as normal and safe no longer stands on solid ground. Some might even wonder if there is really a reason to hope in these stressful times. But there is.

A free talk and discussion by Christian Science practitioner and international speaker Giulia Nesi Tetreau, explores the ongoing search for a spiritual perspective on living that can lead to an expectation of good and a better life experience.

It's ultimately about a search for the nature of an all-good God, and the practical and inspired effect of this God's nature in life.

In the talk, Giulia will share how she has experienced a "spiritual revolution" in her own life by reading the book, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, by Mary Baker Eddy, along with the Bible. The ideas in Science and Health gave her an entirely new perspective on God and life that resulted in deeper meaning and even physical healings, both for herself and others.

Guilia is a member of the Christian Science Board of Lectureship. In this role, she has addressed medical conferences, university classrooms, as well as general audiences around the world.

Sunday Service

Our church is a healing church, and that includes you in its blessings.

Join us for a joyful hour of singing hymns and listening to the weekly Bible lesson sermon. This weekly lesson is shared by all Christian Science churches around the globe, uniting the world in concentrated prayer. Topics are thought-provoking to help us along our spiritual path.

Here members and non-members join together to worship God and bless their communities.

An usher will warmly greet you and assist with any questions.

Wednesday Evening Meetings

Our mid-week testimony meetings provide an hour of singing, praying, and listening to readings from the Bible and the Christian Science textbook on a variety of topics.

During the last half of the meeting, the congregation is invited to give testimonies of inspiration and healing gained through the study and application of Christian Science in their daily life.

Thanksgiving Day Service

Join us on Thanksgiving morning to share gratitude for your bounty of blessings! All friends, neighbors, relatives, and the “stranger within thy gates” are welcome!

Sunday School

Come and discover who God is, and who you are!

Children and teens up to the age of 20 are warmly welcomed into our Sunday School, meeting at the same time as church.

Sunday School offers the opportunity to explore spiritual, practical solutions to challenges in everyday life. Students are taught from the Bible and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy.

Lessons include the Ten Commandments, the Sermon on the Mount, Bible stories, Jesus’ teachings and healings, and topical subjects viewed through a spiritual lens.

Children learn how to pray, and how to listen to God for joy, comfort, and guidance.

All are welcome.

Children’s Room

A child-care room is provided for those not yet old enough to attend Sunday School.

Your child will be cherished, and well-cared for, while you attend services that nourish your spiritual progress.

Reading Room

Our Reading Room provides a quiet atmosphere where books, literature, and materials may be borrowed or purchased. Or perhaps you would like to just stop in and read for a while! You will find an extensive library of inspiring articles, biographies and Bible history. Feel free to browse the volumes of verified healings of every challenge mankind has faced over the past 150 years.

The Reading Room is also a great place to silently pray for yourself or the world.

In our Master’s Sermon on the Mount, we read, “When you pray, enter your closet, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.”

Our Reading Room provides a peaceful place to fulfill this command.

An attendant is always available to answer your questions and guide you to articles of interest.
