What will I find at a Sunday Christian Science service?

Worship services are open to all.
Once you step inside, you will be warmly greeted by members ready to assist with any questions. Sunday Worship services include music, prayer, and scriptural readings from the Bible. The Christian Science Bible Lesson-Sermon, read weekly from the podium, addresses deep questions relevant to life and the everyday problems we face.
You’ll hear selections read from the Bible and related passages from the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy that cover timeless topics and provide boundless inspiration. Together these texts open new views to understanding the Bible and the teachings of Christ Jesus
Following the service ushers will be pleased to share information about Christian Science and the weekly Bible Lesson that you can take with you. Christian Scientists are a convivial group and will be happy to engage with you to answer questions and welcome you back again.
What are Wednesday evening Testimony Meetings?
Visit a Wednesday evening testimony meeting when all attending, either in-person or online, enjoy music and hear passages from the Bible and Christian Science textbook specially selected for the day. It’s a pause in the week to share expressions of thankfulness for the good in our lives.
You will hear others share insights and healings experienced through their prayer and practice of Christian Science, bringing inspiration and hope to others – those Aha! moments.

Christ was faithful as a Son over His household. And we are that household if we hold on to the courage and the confidence of our hope.

What is Christian Science Sunday School?

Sunday School lovingly welcomes children and young people (in-person only) up to the age of 20 seeking spiritual education.
Sunday School teachers** enrich students’ spiritual understanding of the Bible by drawing on a variety of resources in inspiring ways to provide practical, prayer-based solutions to the issues children confront daily.
The lessons they learn serve their well-being throughout their lives.
Sunday sessions divide by age: pre-K, elementary, middle school, and teens. Under the caring guidance of experienced Christian Scientists, they study the Bible, Christian Science textbook, and weekly Bible Lesson.
We welcome parents who may want to speak with our Sunday School Superintendent about their child’s spiritual education and why it is so important today for children to participate in a regular, practical program of spiritual learning.
Our teacher and childcare staff have been screened to meet Pennsylvania’s child protection law requirements to assure you of your child’s safety.

What do children learn?

Pre-K, elementary, and middle school children discover the “first lessons,” including the 10 Commandments, Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount and The Lord’s Prayer with its spiritual interpretation in the Christian Science textbook.
Together with their teacher they explore Bible verses and stories, and healing as taught by Christ Jesus and shared in Christian Science literature. They learn the synonyms for God in the Bible and defined in the Christian Science textbook, and how these ideas support prayer.
And anyone who welcomes a little child like this on my behalf is welcoming me.
How are Teens’ search for more in their lives addressed?
Teens and young adults discover how they can develop an AWESOME relationship with God. Young people are encouraged to engage in lively discussions about lessons from the Bible. With their Christian Science teacher, they discuss issues big and small to find lasting spiritual solutions to everyday challenges.
They learn the spiritual significance of many Bible stories and parables and their practical application today. They study the Christian Science textbook to aid their understanding of the spiritual, healing truths of the Bible. They discover how they can REALLY talk to God, REALLY listen to God, and REALLY apply God’s guidance effectively in the practical everyday of their lives.
Right is radical.
Children’s Room
The Children’s Room welcomes infants and toddlers at the same time as Sunday Services and Sunday School.
All our teacher and childcare staff have been screened to meet Pennsylvania’s Child Protection Services Law (CSPL).
