Our congregation works together to prayerfully support each other, our community, and our world in practicing the system of spiritual healing taught and demonstrated by Christ Jesus. A practical, proven method of healing, prayer can be applied to every challenge. We pray for, and expect, healing at all of our services.

Daniel 10:19

Sunday Service

We warmly welcome you to join us in fellowship on Sunday morning.

The one-hour service is centered on a weekly Christian Science Bible Lesson composed of passages from the Bible and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy. Together these two books are regarded as our “Pastor”– always available for comfort and guidance.

The service is led by two Readers who are members of the congregation and also includes prayer and music, in the form of both a solo and congregational singing. We hope you’ll join us in this hour of quiet contemplation and praise to God, filled with joy and song.

Thanksgiving Day Service

We also hold an annual Thanksgiving Day service at the same time as our regular service. At this special service, attendees are invited to share their expressions of gratitude.

Wednesday Testimony Meetings

First Church of Christ, Scientist, Phoenixville, PA Auditorium

Our Wednesday evening meeting provides a mid-week spiritual uplift. After selecting a theme, the Reader prepares and presents readings from The Bible and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures.

A substantial portion of the meeting is opened to the congregation as an opportunity to share testimonies of healing and inspirational thoughts. Participants also join in singing hymns and repeating together the Lord’s Prayer.

Sunday School offers a nurturing learning environment where children become grounded in Christianity through study of The Bible and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, written by the discoverer and founder of Christian Science, Mary Baker Eddy.

Early lessons center around the Ten Commandments, the Lord’s Prayer, the Sermon on the Mount and Bible stories. Building on this foundation, students expand their understanding of the nature of God and our rock-solid, unbreakable relationship to Him.

The Christian Science Bible Lesson, fresh each week, provides an ongoing framework for teaching young people how to live Christian Science, and how to heal.

Students learn how to pray effectively to overcome challenges they may be facing in their lives – difficulties at school, relationship issues with family or friends, illness or injury.

The best thing children learn in a Christian Science Sunday School is that God loves them, and that no challenge they could ever face is beyond God’s healing power.

All young people up to age 20 are warmly welcomed into this oasis of spiritual learning.

Resources

“Divine Love always has met and always will met every human need.
It is not well to imagine that Jesus demonstrated the divine power to heal only for a select number or for a limited period of time,
since to all mankind and in every hour, divine Love supplies all good.
Mary Baker Eddy, Science and Health, p. 494

The healing principle of Christian Science is just as relevant and immediate today as it was in Christ Jesus’ time. Students of Christian Science around the globe daily strive to understand and demonstrate more of this truth. We invite you to join us in this prayerful work.
